San Diego’s most popular attraction is the zoo, which is located in Balboa Park. Your purchase goes directly towards the animals’ well-being and other conservation initiatives, making it an exceptional destination. Over four thousand plant types, including numerous exotics with significant monetary worth, provide natural homes for the three thousand five hundred animals that call this 100-acre property home.
As a member, I can attest that the koalas, hippos, and polar bear dive shows are absolutely must-sees, particularly when you get a chance to witness them dive into the water. The Wildlife Explorers Basecamp (children’s zoo) has so many cool things to see and do that your kids might want to stay in, like the huge beehive, water play areas and animals. LEGOLAND California Resort in Carlsbad.
At LEGOLAND California, a major tourist destination in San Diego, children may race LEGO vehicles around a track.
The completion of LEGO Driving School grants children the right to drive.
Going to LEGOLAND California Resort is a top San Diego activity for families with children ages two to twelve. In addition to two hotels, a seasonal water park, and over 60 rides and activities, the theme park also features a SEA LIFE Aquarium.
On foot, the majority of guests make their way to the amusement park, where they may explore LEGO-themed areas such as Ninjago® World, Castle Hill, Pirate Shores, Fun Town, and Land of Adventure. The minute and beautiful recreations of America’s most treasured cities, such as San Francisco and New York City, found in Miniland, USA, are one of the attractions. Next to the entrance is the Minifigure Market, where you can purchase minifigures if you don’t have any to trade with the staff.
One other bonus for guests of the LEGOLAND Hotel and the LEGOLAND Castle Hotel is early park entry, which is 30 minutes before the park opens. Before you buy your LEGOLAND tickets, check the park’s schedule to make sure that the attractions you wish to see are open (during the off-peak season, the park is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays).

We could go on and on about how much we adore this popular San Diego attraction if we tried. The San Diego Zoo Safari Park: A Traveler’s Guide has further information. It is home to greater animals and spans 1800 acres in Escondido’s San Pasqual Valley. The park is organised into themed zones across the world.
Make the most of your day by going on the African Plains Wildlife Safari. You get a close look at the creatures and, if lucky, get to feed some of them, such as giraffes and rhinos. The Africa Tram, which travels around the park for 2.5 miles and takes 25 minutes, does not cost anything.
The kangaroos and wallabies that nearly run around you in Walkabout Australia are some of the other must-see attractions (included with admission). The only platypuses known to exist outside of Australia could be on show nearby as well.
Due to its immense size, exploring the park would take a whole day. Take little ones to Nairobi Village’s Petting Kraal and let them play with the animatronic zebra Robert. A number of paths may lead to ponds, aviaries, exotic flora, man-made burrows of animals, and other photogenic spots. Discounted admission to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park is also on offer.
